Yasir Shah makes return, PCB announces 17-man squad for Tests against Australia

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the 17-man squad for the Test series against Australia which will commence from October 7.

The initiation of the two-match Test series between Pakistan and Australia is also a start of the home season for Pakistan. Pakistan will play the matches in longer and shorter formats in UAE against Australia and New Zealand in the months of October and November.

There has been some quite number of surprises in the Pakistani squad for Test series against Australia.

Muhammad Amir lost his place from the Test squad for the first time since his comeback in the international arena. Mir Hamza would look to make his name prominent in the absence of the veteran fast bowler if provided a stint against Aussies.

Wahab Riaz will be returning back to the side following his exclusion from the line-up that travelled to England in July for Test Series.

Reputed as one of the finest batsmen Pakistan has got in their domestic circuit right now, Saad Ali lost his place from the squad without getting chance in a single game against England. The renowned batsman Fawad Alam also failed to cement his place in the team despite his spectacular stint in First-Class for a long time.

The most significant member for Pakistani Test squad in recent times, Yasir Shah would be making his comeback in the Test series against Australia following his injury that compelled him to drop out from appointment against England.

Muhammad Rizwan has his name in the squad as the reserve wicket-keeper and Bilal Asif found his name in the line-up due to his useful spin-bowling ability and handy batting capability.
