The record breaking win

On Wednesday, Pakistan accomplished the record of their largest victory in terms of balls left after they defeated Zimbabwe by nine wickets with 241 balls remaining at Bulawayo. Pakistan previous highest win in terms of balls remaining was against New Zealand in 1990 when the side led by legendary Imran Khan chased the target of 75 runs in just 15.1 overs which let Pakistan win with 206 balls remaining.

Pakistani bowlers bowled out the Zimbabwean batting line-up on just 77 runs and Faheem Ashraf remained the stand-out man in doing the job after he took the first fifer of his ODI career. He finished his bowled quota with the brilliant bowling figures of 5/22 after 8.1 overs.

Pakistan is leading the series with the margin of 3-0 and the side will be looking out to the whitewash the hosts to keep their spirits high. The last two appointments of the ODI series will be played on 20th July and 22nd July at the same venue of Bulawayo.
