There are 14 days left till the start of Asia Cup and the tournament is already grabbing the attention of cricketing pundits residing all around the globe.

The blistering contests between bat and ball will start when Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be walking out to play each other to set up the inauguration match of the competition which will lighten Dubai on September 15.

The former Australian cricketer and reputed fast bowler Mitchell Johnson shared his thoughts regarding this year’s edition of one of the most prestigious tournaments in cricket.

According to Johnson, the circumstances in the United Arab Emirates for the Pakistani team will be favourable due to their experience of playing Pakistan Super League there.

“Pakistan will have an upper hand and will enjoy playing in UAE due to its prior experience of playing in the Pakistan Super League and knowing the weather/pitch conditions inside out,” Johnson informed.

It is understandable that Pakistan will be favourites for the tournament because of their vast knowledge of the UAE conditions.

Mitchell Johnson also expressed his thoughts concerning the quality of bowlers playing in the event. He thinks that people could witness bowlers leading the charts of the tournament this time.

“The pitches in UAE have traditionally produced belters, but with the bowling line-up all the teams possess currently we might remember this year’s tournament as the bowlers’ tournament,” Johnson enlightened.
