Former captain of Pakistan’s T20I side and leading all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez, has parted his ways with Peshawar Zalmi and will now take part in the draft of the fourth edition of PSL, where he would be available to pick in the Platinum category for the rest of the franchises.

Hafeez has represented Peshawar Zalmi in the first three editions of Pakistan Super League. Scoring 671 runs in 31 innings and taking 7 wickets in 6 innings, he played a vital role in the success of his team throughout the different phases of the league.

Considering the fact that he is going through a golden period of his capricious career right now, Zalmi will certainly be missing his services with both bat and ball in the upcoming edition of Pakistan Super League.

Administration of different teams would be making strategies to have his services in the league as he provides an even balance to a playing lineup.

A sane mind with fine leadership skills, having the ability of an extravagant stroke maker, being more than handy with the ball, Hafeez could be a worthy addition to the squad of any team.

It seems that Qalandars have got a perfect chance to grab him in their roster as they have secured a sum of two picks in the first round of Platinum category. The recent trading event saw Lahore giving Sunil Narine to Quetta for the sake of Gladiators pick, which is third, in the first round of Platinum category.

Unless or until, Lahore doesn’t decide to follow their tradition of becoming a center attraction by signing star players who are not suitable to certain playing conditions, which disturbs the overall aura of their team, Hafeez should be an automatic choice for them in the forthcoming draft of the fourth edition of PSL.

Moreover, he can rectify Lahore’s leadership problems and also any top foreign player, either he is Steven Smith or AB de Villiers, would play with a low burden on shoulders due to the less given responsibility, which could bring fine consequences for them in the tournament.
