The Australian World Cup winning captain Michael Clarke, who is a part of the commentating team for World Cup, has praised Babar Azam in the warm-up game between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to Clarke, Babar Azam, the top order batsman of the men in green, is Virat Kohli of the Pakistan cricket team.

Virat Kohli is considered the best batsman of the modern era and is the number one batsman in both ODI and Tests, according to rankings

“Babar Azam is real class no doubt about that. For me, he’s Virat Kohli of Pakistan’s line up. If Pakistan needs to qualify for SF or final, a lot will depend on his young shoulders”,” shared his thoughts Michael Clarke in the warm-up game between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Babar Azam played a splendid knock of 112 runs off 108 balls against Afghanistan on the spin-bowling paradise against the likes of Rashid, Nabi and Mujeeb.

Pakistan couldn’t utilize the doings of Babar Azam in the later part of innings, followed by a spectacular comeback by Afghanistan in the death overs.

Pakistan still managed to post a respectable total of 262 runs for the chasing side.

Will Pakistan be able to defend the target or will Afghanistan commence their campaign in England with flying colours?
