AB de Villiers statement just got backfired

During the time of Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli was asked in an interview by the hosts about an experience of playing Sri-Lanka too often and whether he gets bored of playing them so frequently. Virat Kohli in a gentle way replied that we count cricket played at their home as an off-season because there is not much of a time difference as compared to India and AB de Villiers sitting right beside him laughed and said that India never loses to them, so that’s become the off-season.

Two months later in a Test match against Sri-Lanka, the spin duo of Herath-Perera seemed too hot for the South African batsmen on the turning track of Galle. Proteas barely crossed the mark of 200 runs and the horrible performance of their batsmen led their team to the embarrassing defeat of 278 runs.

The Sri-Lankan fans certainly enjoyed the fantastic defeat of their struggling young team against the 2nd best side of the world. One of the fans was seen on the television taunting AB de Villiers for his statement of calling Sri-Lankan series as an off-season outing of the Indian team.

The fan made a mockery out of his statement and called AB de Villiers to come out and help his team to get their groove in an off-season.

Well, it seems that his own statement turned out to be a disgust for him after a devastating start of an important away tour by his team.

It is proved that even if you are one of the bests in the business, it is always suggested to watch your words because they could backfire on you at any time or moment.
