19-year old Shadab rises to the highest: PSL reveals the categories of local stars

The fourth edition of Pakistan Super League is set to begin from February 2019 and preparations have now initiated to stage the country’s biggest sports event in a glamorous manner.

Some quite interesting additions to the draft are anticipated and the draft process is expected to be held in mid-Oct.

One of the modern-day greats, AB de Villiers hits the list of foreign players which will be released in the first week of next month.

Yesterday, Pakistan Super League revealed the categories of local players who participated in the third edition of the league. The list sees the promotion of players to higher categories as well as the relegation of players to lower categories.

The middle-order batsman Umar Akmal is demoted to Gold from Platinum for the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League.

The list sees the rise of youngsters like Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, and Babar Azam who have been in limelight recently due to their impressive stint for Pakistan cricket team in recent times.

The trio of Asif Ali, Shaheen Khan Afridi and Hussain Talat that made debut in international cricket this year, also watches their preferment in the list of players revealed.

The information about the local players who weren’t part of the third edition of the PSL and foreign players who would be available to pick in the draft is expected to be released in the coming days.

The management of the respective franchises can retain up to 10 players in their teams. They are allowed to trade their players with the players of other teams till the trade and retention window shuts.
